Biography
Monika Dirsytė is an artist, Doctor of Arts, lecturer and the author of the book Neriba. For more than a decade, she has developed a performance art practice in Lithuania and internationally, creating interdisciplinary projects that bring together the body, social environment, identity and questions of contemporary culture.
Dirsytė also teaches and lectures on contemporary art and performance practice. Her work combines the positions of artist, researcher and educator, with artistic practice functioning not only as a form of creation but also as an ongoing process of research and dialogue.
