Agota

Crafted from a raw potato, this sculpture has been left to dry out and undergo the natural process of aging. Over time, the potato, much like a living organism, evolves and transforms. Its surface wrinkles and cracks, mirroring the gradual changes that mark the passage of time on a real female body. As the potato sculpture ages, a profound narrative emerges—one that speaks to the transient nature of physical beauty and the acceptance of impermanence. The wrinkles and creases on the potato’s surface are challenging societal norms that often glorify youthful perfection while neglecting the profound beauty that comes with maturity.
