Jokūbas Nosovas: The Mythology of the Homeland

In his work, Jokūbas Nosovas emphasizes the mythology of the homeland. In other words, he seeks to answer the question “Who am I?” and to understand what makes Lithuanian urban dance unique. The core idea of urban dance has always been liberation—from aggression, from violence, and in pursuit of peace.
Jokūbas invites us to reflect: What is freedom? Are we not building prisons within our own minds? Are we not living according to simulacra without originals? Is it not time to reassess our manifestations and consider whether they destroy or create? Ultimately, he encourages both himself and others to have the courage to follow the path of creation.
