Biography
Andrius Repšys is a Lithuanian photographic artist whose practice encompasses press, aviation and drone photography. Having worked as a newspaper photojournalist and gained experience in aviation photography, he explores the possibilities of photographing from above. His work focuses on combinations of forms revealed by an aerial perspective, the arrangement of objects in space and the development of thematic photographic series.
His projects document Lithuanian prisons, human-made spaces and landscapes. In the series Solar Graphic, he photographs renewable energy infrastructure, including dams, wind turbines and solar batteries. The series was presented at EXPO 2020 in Dubai.
In 2022, Solar Graphic received second place in the Landscape category of the Professional competition at the Sony World Photography Awards. Repšys is a member of the Lithuanian Photographers Association and was granted official artist status in Lithuania in 2019.
