Francisca Salvado

Francisca Salvado was born in 1998, in Lisbon, Portugal and is now based in Porto.

Francisca’s photographic projects are mainly artistic, and focus on questioning equality in societies, exploring the human body, and vocalizing for women’s freedom. Francisca explores day-to-day issues, but often choosing staged photography as the way to communicate.

Her studies started with acting at Cascais’ Professional Theatre School, then Directing at World Academy, Francisca did an internship in Production at Garage and just finished her Bachelor Degree in Photography at School of Media Arts and Design.

“Criaturas de razão”, the work Francisca is presenting in the festival, can also be seen in The Portuguese Center of Photography, in Porto.
