Biography
Guy Livneh is a cinematographer, visual artist and educator. During many years of working in Los Angeles, he realised the visions of film directors and collaborated with figures from film, music and culture, including Werner Herzog, Patty Jenkins, Demi Moore, Charlize Theron, Woody Harrelson, Chloë Sevigny and Willem Dafoe. He has also shot music videos for Billy Idol, Queens of the Stone Age, Glen Campbell and Postmodern Jukebox, and worked on documentary projects about Johnny Cash, Sam Cooke and Bob Marley.
Alongside his film practice, Livneh taught at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles and lectured at other film schools. His masterclass Color and Emotion examines the emotional effects created by colour, light and image. In his visual art practice, he extends cinematic thinking about light, colour, rhythm and emotion into glass painting, light-based objects and spatial installations.
