Biography
Luisa Greta Vilo (b. 2000) is an Estonian photographer whose work explores human vulnerability, perceptions of the body, and different forms of relationships. Motifs and elements drawn from nature become metaphors for the inner world in her photographs. Her practice is concerned with themes of introspection and the search for connection and meaning, while photography serves as a way of conveying her personal experience of the world and recognising shared experiences in others.
In 2023, Vilo received her BA in Photography from Pallas University of Applied Sciences. She has been exhibiting her work since 2020. Her solo exhibitions include Fragments of Vulnerability (2023), (Dis)embodied (2023, 2024), Misty Kind (2024), created together with Agnes Müürsepp, and A(r)mor at Fotografiska Tallinn (2025) and Pärnu City Gallery (2026). In 2022, her artistic practice was recognised with an arts scholarship from Pallas University of Applied Sciences.
