Biography
Tomas Pabedinskas is an art researcher, photography theorist, critic, and curator working across the fields of contemporary photography and visual culture. He is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Arts of Vytautas Magnus University, where he teaches photography and visual culture. His professional practice encompasses photography research, critical writing, curatorial work, and the reflection of contemporary Lithuanian photography in mass media. Pabedinskas has published monographs on contemporary Lithuanian photography, as well as articles in cultural periodicals, art albums, and academic publications. For IPMA 2026, he is curating the exhibition section dedicated to artists from Lithuania and the Baltic countries and serves as a member of the IPMA Open Call jury.
