AFTER THE MASS
The essence of humanistic photography is meeting and being interested. Photography itself is just a pretext here. The Lithuanian School of Photography was one of the most significant phenomena in 20th century photography in Europe. Continuing traditions of this school, the contemporary photographers Artūras Morozovas and Tadas Kazakevičiusfocus on their interest in the Lithuanian man and his daily observation. Photography is first and foremost an action, walking and taking an interest, talking and observing. Immortalization of strangers is an exciting moment when a person whose existence you did not know becomes a relevant world for a moment. The date we invite you to is meeting residents of Lithuanian church villages who came to Mass on Sunday morning. The photos you see here are a photo story authors will be dedicated to in the upcoming years.
